Organizational Setup
The Punjab Remote Sensing Centre is registered as a Society under the Societies
Registration Act, 1860 and its affairs are managed by the General and Governing
Bodies. Senior officers of the state and central government and Vice Chancellors
of the universities within the State of Punjab are the members of these bodies.
The Financial Commissioner, Development, Secretary to Govt. of Punjab, Department
of Agriculture, is the Chairman; and Director of the Centre is its Member Secretary.
The Centre has strength of sixteen scientists and Fifty Four project scientists/research
fellows from various disciplines.
Financial Management
The Punjab Remote Sensing Centre has been functioning mainly on the annual grant-in-aid
provided by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Punjab since its inception.
The Centre is also getting funds under various projects sponsored by the Central
and State Govt.
